Another boycott in Britain!

This is unbelievable!  In addition to the British academic boycott of Israel that was called for Thursday by Britain’s biggest educational union, now, the country’s largest union, UNISON (which has over 3 million members), passed a resolution of a boycott against Israel as well.  

Now, I’m not someone to cry wolf at Anti-Semitism, I lived in England for 11 years.  Everyone always told me it was anti-Semitic, I always disputed them and told them, yes, there was anti-Semitism in England (the British expelled the Jews from England in 1290 and the city of Oxford where I lived Jews were burned at the stake) but in modern times, that’s just not the case and that people just do not understand the Middle East situation where Palestinians play the victims where in actuality our Arab brethren are the aggressors and are devoted to Israel’s destruction.

But now that I see all of this happening…this is really troubling.  I mean, this is anti-Semitism plain and simple.  A bunch of labor unions ganging up on the Jewish state, the only democracy in the Middle East; A country absolutely committed to human rights and called to defend itself against terrorism- which country wouldn’t?  

Did Britain forget that they bombed whole civilian population centers in the Second World War when they were up against the threat of Nazism?  Dresden, Hamburg- these cities were leveled, including Berlin.  Have they forgotten that whole history?  It is terrible when civilians die because their governments are taken over by murders like Hitler or Hamas or Hezbollah.  The resolution of this organization condemns the invasion of Lebanon by Israel.  G-d Almighty, Hezbollah is one of the world’s most worst terror organizations.  They’ve taken over all of Southern Lebanon, firing rockets on Northern Israel.  And Israel is supposed to let its citizens die and do nothing?

This is pure anti-Semitism- call it what it is!
